Buried utilities could exist just about anywhere you dig. “Gopher State One Call” (GSOC) is the underground utility notification center for the state of Minnesota. To prevent service interruptions and damage to underground utilities, homeowners and contractors must call GSOC at least two working days before excavation begins. That way, someone at GSOC can notify operators of underground facilities in the work area and request that they be marked BEFORE they dig ─ it's the law.
